Tal Valbuena

As an immigrant and refugee, Tal Valbuena is not just living proof of the American Dream but a proud defender of it. Tal says it best: “As I came to appreciate how beautiful this country is, I also saw its flaws — especially racial injustice and prejudice.“

Tal has turned this insight into action multiple times over. Today, he has many impressive titles-Deputy District Attorney in Mental Health Court, County LGBTQ Commissioner, adjunct professor, avid marathoner/fundraiser, Treasurer of  South Asian Bar Association, Member of Los Angeles’s A.R.D.I Initiative, Treasurer of South Asian Bar Association. Tal is a commendable, upstanding, active member and serviceman of our community. Tal Valbuena embodies the qualities we hope to see in our courtrooms and across our justice system-integrity, humility, patience, and respect. We look forward to the experience Tal Valbuena is sure to bring to seat 2!
