Across the Santa Clarita Valley, we have heard our neighbors express concerns about election security. Have no fear, Shirley Weber is here. As California Secretary of State, Weber has been, and wants to continue to be, a true hero of free and fair elections. Weber’s family history instilled in her a deep knowledge of the intrinsic need for strong defenders of voting rights. Her grandfather was never able to vote, her father was not able to vote until he was 30 years old, and only did so after being chased out of his home state of Arkansas by a lynch mob. Voting and equality, two things that Shirley Weber feels most passionately about, are vital rights that have only been earned because of those who relentlessly fight for them. The SCV Dems are proud to endorse this hero of equal rights for California Secretary of State.
