L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna

As Democrats and progressives of Southern California, positions in law enforcement like that of LA County Sheriff often carry a very heavy weight. It is the unfortunate reality that many of us have seen and lived through for decades across LA-brutality, corruption, mishandling of cases just to name a few. Enter Robert Luna. Robert Luna came into a culture that perpetuated some of the worst behaviors we’ve seen from law enforcement officers and has worked tirelessly to push through systemic and cultural changes that have been recognized across our community in recent years. We could provide a lengthy list of the strides we’ve seen Robert Luna take in his first term, but we think it’s more important to highlight his focus towards the future. As we prepare to hosts the World Cup and Olympics, Luna’s focus is on keeping LA County safe, and that means a consistent move towards improvement and stability. It is our belief that beyond being the most qualified candidate on the ballot this June to achieve such an initiative, Sheriff Luna also agrees with it and is actively working to implement those changes.
